The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, exceptional analytical abilities, and the capability to handle complex tax issues both independently and in collaboration with others.Duties:Advise on tax implications and strategies for M&A transactions and private equity deals.Draft, review, and negotiate tax-related provisions in transaction agreements.Conduct thorough due diligence to identify tax risks and opportunities.Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and business professionals to address tax matters.Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.Produce high-quality, timely legal documents and reports.Manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines and maintaining efficiency.Communicate complex tax issues clearly and persuasively to clients and colleagues.Foster and maintain strong professional relationships within the firm and with clients.Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned by the firm.Requirements:JD degree from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice in California or eligible for admission.At least 5 years of experience in transactional tax, with a focus on M&A and private equity.Direct experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm or the SEC is preferred.Skills:Strong analytical and writing skills.Excellent attention to detail and business judgment.Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Effective oral and written communication skills.Strong research and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to think conceptually and develop strategic solutions.Skilled in influencing and persuading others.Strong management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.Certifications:Admitted to practice law in California or the jurisdiction where applying.Benefits Offered:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) plan with employer contributions.
