The role involves working on complex litigation matters with a focus on research, drafting, and discovery management.Duties:Handle a variety of commercial litigation cases from inception to resolutionConduct legal research and draft substantive pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsManage and oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including e-discoveryCollaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomesConduct depositions, interviews, and represent clients in court hearingsCommunicate regularly with clients to keep them informed of case developmentsStay informed on legal trends and best practices in commercial litigationRequirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission2-5 years of commercial litigation experience, with substantial experience in state and federal courtsStrong legal research, writing, and drafting skillsAbility to manage cases independently and work collaboratively within a teamExcellent communication skills, both written and oralEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law schoolCertifications:Active or eligible North Carolina Bar membershipSkills:Proficiency in legal research and draftingStrong organizational and time management skillsExperience in managing e-discovery and conducting depositionsStrong communication and negotiation abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
