Position Summary:

The Residential Driver is responsible for the collection of residential household waste or recyclable material. The Residential Driver will safely maneuver a heavy-duty truck in residential environments as well as transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycle facility when trucks reach legal load capacity.

Your Role:Operates vehicles by Life Critical Rules, Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and documents checks utilizing the standards Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by the Company.Works closely with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.Notifies the Route Manager or Dispatch of any incidents, accidents, injuries, property damage, service interruptions, or customer requests.Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer's location clean and free of debris.Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and check-out process.Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.Works with leadership to implement strategies for community and municipal outreach.Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.Your Skills:

Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's LicenseCommercial Driver's License A or B with an air-brake endorsement is a plus.Acceptable driving record.Able to meet all Department of Transportation requirements.Basic mechanical knowledge.This Position Features:
