Financial Reporting Senior

Job Overview:The Senior Financial Reporting role is a key position within the Corporate Accounting team, contributing to the accuracy and compliance of the company's financial reporting. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role is responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements, supporting audit processes, and ensuring adherence to US GAAP and SEC guidelines. This position is critical in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting for this publicly held, global tobacco merchant.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses.Conduct entity-level and regional financial reviews for consolidation in monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.Prepare consolidated adjustments and disclosures for SEC financial reporting.Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.Maintain and enhance accounting processes and systems to support accurate reporting.Participate in special financial projects as assigned, providing expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.Requirements Include:Education:
Master's in Accounting or related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required for senior-level candidates.Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in a public accounting firm and/or corporate accounting environment.Skills:
Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred; knowledge of FASB accounting guidance; understanding of SEC regulations.Certifications:
CPA certification required for senior-level candidates.Knowledge:
Advanced understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and FASB accounting standards.Key Competencies:Attention to Detail:
High degree of accuracy in preparing financial reports.Time Management:
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, especially during reporting cycles.Communication:
