The role itself partners directly with the Chief Executive Officer of the company and is a key part of the Executive Leadership Board. Job Description

The

Chief Financial Officer - Construction

will be directly responsible for accounting and financial reporting, financing, forecasting, metrics refinement and monitoring, tax filing and compliance, legal, insurance and risk management, deal analysis and negotiations, other financial analyses and the assets and books of the company. The successful applicant will be the key point of contact to investors, banks, auditors, bonding institutions, and other key external stakeholders and will lead a team of accounting and finance professionals. Actively partner with the President as the Senior Finance Business Partner in the development and execution of the Company's strategic plan including deployment of capital, service strategy, budgeting / forecasting and driving cost control.The CFO will:

Lead and manage the company's finance team (approximately 12 full-time employees), covering treasury, planning and analysis, accounting, audit, tax, and risk management functions.Implement and enforce accounting policies, processes, and systems to support business growth and scalability.Uphold robust accounting standards, policies, and processes to ensure clear, consistent, and timely recording, analysis, and reporting of financial information across all company levels.Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and scorecards focused on revenue growth, operational efficiency, profitability, and resource management.Provide reliable and strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement in company operations, margin enhancement, and commercial initiatives to maximize profitability.Direct a forward-looking financial planning and analysis capability, promoting regular communication and reporting between finance and operational leaders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Collaborate closely with the team to ensure strong oversight and controls over accounting services, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and both corporate and regulatory financial reporting.Execute cash flow forecasting to manage the company's cash position, ensuring adequate liquidity through short-term investments and credit lines.Oversee tax-related functions, including reporting, liability projections, tax strategy, and associated structuring.Lead the company's risk management policies, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks pertinent to the business.Manage the audit process and build strong relationships with banking partners, handling all related interactions personally.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant

CPA, CFA or Master's Degree strongly preferredBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related Degree essentialConstruction industry background essential - or similar (custom design manufacturing, engineering etc)15 + years of progressive Finance tenure10 + years of Financial ManagementPrior track record in an Executive Leadership role essentialSystems: Sage Intacct or similar Construction focused ERP systemWhat's on Offer

The Chief Financial Officer - Construction will be rewarded with the following:

Base Salary Range: $270,000 - $320,000Bonus eligibility up to 35%Executive level benefits package
