Reporting to the Vice President of Manufacturing, the Production Art Director plans, directs, and coordinates all activities of the team sports art department that produce art for custom sublimation apparel, screen printing and athletic caps. Manages with an understanding of changing priorities, sense of urgency, execution of results and support for the team. Operates with high integrity, is productive under high pressure, hands-on when needed and creates/maintains spreadsheets and calendars to manage the flow of art content. Continuously seeking process improvement and greater efficiency in the art development and proofing process. The individual selected must have managerial and manufacturing/production experience.Responsibilities:
Directs and manages all production art processes domestic and overseas art departments. Specifically, production cycles and lead times, hiring, training, scheduling, quality and mentoring of the art teamEstablishes art department standards for production, productivity, quality, and client servicesDirects and manages contract art services including, seasonal production scheduling, quality, efficiency and labor staffingEnsures that all art teams, domestic and overseas, adhere to current processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, and proposing and creating processes and tools to support design operationsMonitors staffing needs and supervises workloads to ensure orders requirements are metProvides clear and actionable direction and feedback to department team members that improves the quality of their work, supports the customer and business outcomes that they're responsible for, and helps them to grow professionallyFields questions from and provides clarification as needed to production and customer service regarding order specificationsFoster a work environment and team culture that elevates performance and moraleIdentifies and implements continual work process improvements.Develops production art presentation approaches, styles, and techniques for the team to implementRequirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management or related fields4+ years in a managerial roleProficiency with design software, such as Adobe Creative SuiteExceptional capability with typography, layout, and prototypingHighly skilled with leading a team of creative talentKnowledge in manufacturing processesStrives for excellence and continuous improvement processesStrong creative vision with an understanding of business objectives and the importance of analyticsAdjusts to changing circumstances with a positive attitudeProven leadership and decision-making abilityStrong skills in work planning and scheduling.Travel about 25%Company Culture:
