Zumiez is a leading specialty retailer of apparel, footwear, accessories, skateboards, and snowboards for young men and women who want to express their individuality through the fashion, music, art, and culture of action sports, streetwear, and other unique lifestyles. Headquartered in Lynnwood, Washington, Zumiez operates over 700 stores in North America, Europe, and Australia. We operate under Zumiez in North America, Blue Tomato in Europe, and Fast Times in Australia.

The Zumiez Product and Brand Services (PBS) team is responsible for over 30 unique brands spanning various categories, including men's and women's apparel, accessories, and snow/skate hardgoods. These brands are comprised of private label, licensed, and owned brands.

Position Purpose

The Product & Brand Services Assistant Production Artist supports the men's, women's, accessories, skate hardgoods, snow hardgoods, and packaging artwork production for many Zumiez Private Label and Licensed brands.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:Develop Product Tech Packs, Artwork and Packaging Specifications for the following:Private Label & Licensed Brand PrintablesPrivate Label & Licensed Brand HardgoodsPrivate Label & Licensed Brand Trims & PackagingAdheres to project deadlines and expectations assigned by the manager that include, but not limited to, the following:Private Label & Licensed Brand Production DeadlinesPL Graphic Design Project DeadlinesMaintain and organize Artwork, Tech Packs, and Packaging filesMaintain Private Label Trims & Packaging One-SheetsAids in tracking, making comments, and vendor communication for specific product categoriesComplete creative projects independentlyKnowledgeable of performance and department initiativesCollaborates with cross-functional teams and Product & Brand Services counterpartsOther duties assigned by the ManagerRequirements:

1-2 years of experience in artwork production or graphic designAdhere to US Copyright and Trademark LawsBA or equivalent course work in artwork production or graphic designContribute to the Zumiez culture of empowerment, competition, teaching, learning, recognition, fairness, honesty, and funKnowledge of the printing processes for Apparel and PackagingOrganizational skillsProficient in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopExperience working with an Apple workstationExperience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookAbility to adhere to established brand guidelinesRemain detail-oriented and adaptable while working in a fast-paced environmentA balanced mix of creative and technical know-howAble to travel domesticallyPhysical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to sit/stand in a stationary position in an office environment for extended periods and work on a Mac or PC without limitations. Must be able to distinguish colors and inspect the material on the product.
