This is an urgent need to cover neuro surgery responsibilities while permanent providers are being recruited.Position Overview:Location : Near Marysville, MIJob Title : NP/PA - Surgery - NeuroShift Type : Nights, in-house coverage from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.Shift Schedule : One weekend every four weeksCoverage Dates : November 10, 2024 - February 10, 2025Job Type : Locum Tenens (with potential for permanent placement)Hours : Full-time, Night ShiftsSpecialty : NeurosurgerySetting : Inpatient, hospital-basedFacility Level : Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designationKey Responsibilities:Rounding, consults, and postoperative care for neuro surgery patientsNo first assist or procedural work requiredBasic understanding of acute neurosurgical emergencies, stroke care, ICU care, and postoperative management requiredSimple procedures such as minor suture repairs for lacerationsWork autonomously with a supervising physician available on-call off-site 24/7EMR system used: eCare/CernerRequirements:Board Certification : ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA requiredActive Michigan License : RequiredBLS, ENLS, NIHSS certifications : RequiredClean background : RequiredMI Addressed DEA : Verbal confirmation requiredExperience : Must have experience in neuro surgery, stroke care, or critical care settingsNo new graduates : Must have prior experienceWeekend coverage : One weekend every four weeksTo Apply:Current Up-to-Date CV, including locums historyAvailability and contact informationNPI and/or License NumberMalpractice and/or background documentationReferences (if available)
