Job Description:Dates of covereage:11/10 and end is 2/10Coverage needed while they recruit for permInpatient, hospital-based setting with responsibilities for rounding, consults, and postoperative careNo OR/First Assist or procedural work requiredMust have a basic understanding of acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, neurosurgical elective procedures, and postoperative managementCoverage includes 240 hours in a 6-week schedule with weekend shiftsHours are 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., in-house coverage requiredweekend covereage required every 4th weekNo on-call dutiesExpected to see an average of 10 patients per dayEMR system used: eCare/CernerLevel 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designationAdvanced Practice Provider (APP) will work autonomouslySupervising physician available off-site, on-call 24/7No new graduates will be acceptedProcedures required: simple suture for minor laceration repairPatient demographics range from ages 0 to 99The conversion/perm placement rate cap is 16k. Locum to Perm Reduction in Conversion Fees:160-319 hours = BR500 reduction320-639 hours = BR reduction640+hours = BR500 reductionRegardless of number of hours a NP/PA has worked, reduction will not exceed BR500
