Phillips Edison's operating platform provides retail services including acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of grocery-anchored retail centers.

What you'll do:Assist with preparation of SEC reporting, including Forms 10-Q and 10-KCollaborate with personnel across departments to ensure all necessary schedules and deliverables needed for financial statement preparation are provided on time and are accuratePrepare schedules for external auditors and respond to requests for information; respond to auditor comments and requests in a timely fashionWork with Legal and Investor Relations departments to supply required financial data for the preparation of Form 8-Ks, earnings releases, investor supplements, and press releasesAssist with the creation and maintenance of general ledger accounts including financial presentationDevelop and maintain job processes and proceduresAppropriately document and maintain all support necessary as part of maintaining internal controls over financial reportingKeep abreast of accounting developments and stay up-to-date on the most recent accounting standard updatesOther duties as assigned, such as ad hoc internal reporting requestsWhat we're looking for:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience preferredCPA or meets the requirements to sit for the CPA exam preferredDetail-oriented and able to meet a standard of precision that allows us to fulfill our reporting obligations to investors and to the SEC2 to 3 years of experience in public accounting with SEC clients, SEC reporting, or equivalent experience in corporate accounting preferredExperience with MRI and/or Wdesk is preferredExcellent computer and analytical skills including a proficiency in ExcelExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAbility to organize and prioritize projects; complete multiple tasks on scheduleAbility to work extended hours as needed in order to meet quarterly and monthly deadlinesWhy PECO?
