Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to patients, assisting them in achieving their rehabilitation goals and improving their functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities:Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist, focusing on improving patients' mobility, strength, and overall function.Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of assistive devices.Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatments as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to promote continued recovery and health.Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of California.CPR certification required.Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
