Monitors and coordinates all areas of production to insure an efficient and cost-effective flow of raw materials to end product.Supervises all production employees with regard to job assignments, quality of work, overtime requirements, and safety.Ensures all job orders are done to customers' specifications.Review all production activities with the Plant Manager on a daily basis.Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of a plant supervisor effectively.Any other duties assigned by Management.Ensure policies are understood and upheldEvaluate employee competenciesCoordinate with management and maintenance teams to ensure projects are completed timely and correctly"Metals USA provides equal employment and affirmative action opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability."
High School or GED EquivalentBasic Mathematics skillsAbility to read and write English LanguageAbility to understand and use Safety Rules and Procedures as well as OSHA standards and regulationsMust exercise a reasonable degree of judgment and possess the ability to recognize appropriate company policies that apply in each situation and follow them.Must be able to read measuring tape and caliperExcellent communication skillsExcellent time management skillsAbility to use Microsoft office applications (word, excel, teams) proficientlyMust be self-motivatedMust work well as part of a teamComfortable speaking to groups of people
