Established Company Lots of growth potential Flexible schedule Competetive compensation packageJob DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property/Portfolio Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in property management, fund accounting, and proficiency in Appfolio, to play a pivotal role in our organization. With a focus on financial management of our extensive property portfolio, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to showcase their expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Accounting and Finance industry.Responsibilities:1. Manage all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.2. Utilize Appfolio for efficient property management, including but not limited to, rent collection, vendor payments, and financial reporting.3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each property within the portfolio.4. Coordinate with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.5. Conduct regular budget reviews, monitor variances, and identify trends in order to provide accurate forecasts.6. Collaborate with the finance team to manage fund accounting processes, including capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.7. Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and company policies.8. Support internal and external audits, providing necessary information and documentation.9. Continuously improve accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in property/portfolio accounting3. Yardi and/ or Appfolio experience4. Solid understanding of fund accounting principles and practices.5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and with external parties.7. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.8. Strong knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to property/portfolio accounting.9.
