This role will require the successful candidate to manage the financial activities of our property portfolio, including the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account reconciliation and accounts receivable, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: As a Permanent Property Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:1. Managing all aspects of accounting for the property portfolio, including accounts receivable and payable, account reconciliation, and general ledger entries.2. Developing and maintaining financial reports, and presenting these reports to senior management on a regular basis.3. Preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts, and comparing these against actual results to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.4. Performing financial analysis to support property investment decisions, and providing recommendations to management based on these analyses.5. Ensuring all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and regulations.6. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.7. Streamlining accounting functions and operations to drive efficiency and productivity.8. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.Qualifications:To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on account reconciliation, accounts receivable, budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and bookkeeping.3. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA) is highly desirable.4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.5. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.6. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.9.
