Manager, Risk Management
Omnicell is seeking a Manager, Risk Management who will be responsible for the company’s insurance and risk management programs while maintaining and cultivating awareness to identify exposures that exceed the scope of traditional insurable risks. The position will engage and partner with insurers, brokers, peer departments, and key business leaders. The position requires a detail-oriented person with excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to the risk management discipline and a strong desire to collaborate with peers and management. While this is a remote position, preference will be given to candidates near our Cranberry Township, PA office.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the company’s risk management, insurance program development, and insurance claims management.
Develop program strategy and structure and oversee the placement and management of the domestic and global insurance programs.
Serve as subject matter expert regarding risk-related issues.
Evaluate, manage and process risk-related matters, certificates of insurance, applications for renewal, invoices, surety bonds, financial guarantees, and insurance coverage inquiries.
Support negotiation of insurance and risk-related contractual issues.
Lead the Enterprise Risk Management process to evaluate and monitor existing and emerging risks, develop mitigation plans, and report out to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.
Implement and lead global Risk Committee and integrate risk processes across the company
Assist in the identification of opportunities for process enhancements as well as new analytical opportunities.
Oversee and manage company claims, including strategy development and required follow up to drive timely resolutions
Assist in the preparation of executive and board of director presentations
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to identify trends when reviewing large amounts of data
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills; ability to take a large volume of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner appropriate for senior management decision making
Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with risk management tools. Ability to identify process improvement and implement best practices
Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with insurance and non-insurance professionals
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects while meeting required goals and deadlines
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner under tight deadlines
Identification of and monitoring of key risk indicators.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
8 + years of insurance underwriting, risk management, enterprise risk management or insurance brokerage experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior CPCU, ARM, CRM, or RIMS-CRMP designation
Experience in contract review and negotiation of business contracts or agreements
Experience leading enterprise risk management programs, monitoring emerging risks and working with stakeholders to identify key risk indicators
Experience in healthcare or healthtech industry
Work Conditions:
Either office based in Cranberry Township, PA or Remote, but candidate must be located in Eastern or Central Time Zones.
Travel: 10%
