SCOPE
: SUPERVISOR - FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE (FSQA)
Responsible for assisting the Manager of Quality Assurance in the planning and oversight of all Quality Assurance related functions in the QA lab and the production floor. Assists the Food Safety Manager with implementing the environmental monitoring programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
: SUPERVISOR - FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE (FSQA)
Conduct or supervise regular daily, weekly, and monthly audits to identify any potential non-compliance or risk areas.
Oversee quality checks on products at various stages of production to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
Ensure all records of quality checks, non-compliance incidents, corrective actions, and audit results are properly recorded.
Oversee the testing for physical properties and ensure that products meet company specifications.
Oversee pre-operational inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Ensure that all products meet customer specifications and quality expectations.
Monitor and assess the performance of QA staff, providing feedback and additional training as needed.
Ensure all staff members follow personal hygiene, food handling, and safety protocols to prevent contamination and accidents.
Work with production teams to streamline operations and ensure that quality is maintained without compromising efficiency.
Ensure that all testing and inspection equipment is calibrated, functioning properly, and routinely maintained.
Perform additional duties as assigned by FSQA Management to support overall food safety and quality assurance objectives

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
: SUPERVISOR - FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY ASSURANCE (FSQA)
Previous knowledge in Quality Assurance or related experience (1-3 years)
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills.
Should be able to prioritize tasks to maximize time management and problem resolution.
Must be committed to company values.
Should be computer proficient Microsoft, APTEN, ROSS and ability to learn new programs as required.
Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP and BRC or other manufacturing quality programs
Preferred: bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or food science.
Preferred: Certification in HACCP, BRC, PCQI, or SQF.
