Day to Day: In this role the they are looking to modernize old data to make sure it is complete and updated from a drawing and part perspective. This means that parts are still available to be manufacturable and outdated drawings are updated for the new standards in place. The customer has an influx of parts and data that needs to be updated and cleaned up. They will also be a part of the process to work on existing data that needs to be complete and uploaded to the PLM. A major part of this role is a lot of existing data is currently in Catia so familiarity with Catia software is a must in order to go in the CAD and make sure information is accurate. Candidate must have Creo / windchill
The contractor shall provide reliable and impartial technical support to the Sustainment Engineering Team within the Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC). The contractor’s support shall include: technical reviews of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) which includes drawings and specifications, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Variance (RFVs); systems engineering; ECP generation; evaluation and resolution of technical issues.
Conducts technical reviews on vehicles, systems, subsystems, components, and spare parts supported by the GVSC Sustainment team to include technical documents: Technical Drawings/TDPs (including Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing), Performance Specifications, System Requirements, Interface Control Documents, and Platform Specifications, and provide technical comments and recommendations concerning the accuracy and completeness of the content.
Reviews and checks technical drawings in support of re-draw efforts and prepares Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Engineering Record Releases (ERR) as needed and in conjunction with Sustainment Engineering Efforts
Conducts technical reviews of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Requests for Variance (RFVs) for vehicles supported by the GVSC Sustainment team, provide technical comments and recommendations concerning the implementation of the proposed change

*Mechanical Engineering: Individual is mechanically inclined. (degree is a must)
*Change Management: Crucial to have exp making changes to the design and completing TDP to show the change and uploading to the PLM.
GD&T: Can look at drawings and validate existing GD&T or make necessary changes
