Who will you be working with?
As part of the Human Resources/Labor Relations team, you will be supporting both the hourly and salary workforce in Operations. You will be a member of a team of experienced individuals regarding various steps in hiring new employees and promoting internal ones. This is a fast-paced position that focuses on teamwork and ensuring consistency throughout the organization.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Human Resources/Labor Relations group, you will be responsible for working closely with the Human Resources/Union Relations Team, Operations Leaders, and the represented hourly workforce to achieve business objectives. This role will support hourly staffing (internal and external), onboarding, dispute resolution, time & attendance, grievance administration and other HR responsibilities to support day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from a credited university; orInternship in Human Resources; or2+ years of progressive work experience in an office settingExperience working with Microsoft Office SuiteDesired Qualifications:
Experience in a union environmentBackground working in Human ResourcesPrior experience with Kronos (timekeeping) and Workday (HRIS)Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work effectivelyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSelf-motivated, detail oriented and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skillsWhat will your typical day look like?
Supports the site Employment Leader performing day-to-day tactical HR operations including facilitating team member internal movement, external postings and offer letters, data changes, shift, job transfers and new employee orientationResponsible for the oversight and tracking of leave administration for hourly production workers to include STD/LTD, FMLA, Personal Leaves and employee absences that impact operationsProvide counsel regarding contractual issues and policies and procedures to establish best practice for the siteAssist with employee investigations, conflict resolution and administering discipline to ensure ongoing continuity of daily operationsSupports the site HR Leaders with the administration of grievance procedure and issues that arise from the collective bargaining agreements disputesGathers HR metrics from a variety of sources including Workday (HRIS), WorkForce Management (payroll) and recruiting and leave tracking portals for data driven decision-makingManage and gather content for HR meetings, site communications and the overall organization of the department to streamline the effectiveness of the teamProvide advice and counsel to management and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practiceResponds to employee questions/concerns regarding related HR issuesAssist the operations team regarding hourly and exempt performance management; provide insight and best practice on performance improvement methods to drive accountabilityEstablish and maintain excellent relationships with union leadershipAdminister and support all Wabtec HR policies and initiatives within the constituent plantsBe responsible for the administration of grievance procedure, contract administration with constituent unions, and administration of collective bargaining agreementsAny other additional duties to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
