Summary:
Enterprise Engineering (EE), Meta’s internal IT organization is looking for an experienced, self-driven Software Asset Manager who will be accountable for transforming, scaling and efficiently operating the Software Asset Management function. This role requires someone with hands-on experience in third-party software license management in large, global, fast paced organizations.You will have the opportunity to shape the next stage of the function's evolution, engage strategically with all Meta business units, drive partnerships with adjacent teams such as finance and procurement and have exposure to leaders at the company.In this role, you will be expected to drive value for Enterprise Engineering and Meta by delivering software cost savings/avoidance through license optimization efforts, keep Meta compliant with licensing terms, inform application portfolio rationalization opportunities and right sizing Meta's software contracts.

Enterprise Software Asset Manager Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and enhance software asset management policies, procedures, and standards balancing efficiency and user experience
Analyze software usage patterns and provide recommendations for optimization and cost savings/avoidance
Develop and maintain relationships with assigned software vendors to resolve access/support issues that impact user productivity and experience
Scale the function to provide licensing visibility across the enterprise and own licensing decisions at the time of contract renewals and true-ups
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements and best practices
Conduct regular audits of software licenses and usage to identify and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance, ensuring adherence to licensing agreements
Continuously evaluate and improve software asset management processes, tools, and technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, cost-effectiveness and improve customer satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of experience in software asset management, IT asset management, or related field
Proven track record of success in optimizing software utilization to improve efficiency
Knowledge of software licensing agreements and metrics (e.g. for Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe)
Experience working in a fast paced environment and in a role that requires influencing across different levels in the organization (internal and vendors)
Quickly earn stakeholder trust, mobilize and influence teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, and execute with limited guidance

Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Certification in software asset management, such as CSAM
Experience with leading software asset management tools, such as Flexera or ServiceNow
Experience with software asset management in cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP or Azure
Understanding the linkage of software and hardware asset management functions and how integrated approach could drive higher efficiencies
Public Compensation:
$122,000/year to $177,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
