This position is responsible for timely delivery of feed and propane to farm facilities. Other duties may be assigned.Mus be able to attend and pass the required training from MO Propane Gas Association which may be held in St. Louis.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains an adequate supply of feed by ordering bulk feed from the mill, inspecting feed for quality and submits feed samples, delivering correct amounts of feed to correct bins on farm as ordered (60%)Maintains an adequate supply of propane by ordering bulk propane by reporting % on hand and delivering adequate propane to correct houses on farm (30%)Other duties, responsibilities, and activities:
Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Such as: Climb feed bins, pick up unused feed with reclaim equipment, maintains inventory records, calculates usage amounts, maintains equipment by checking fluid levels and sanitizing. (10%)Biosecurity/Animal Welfare Requirements:
The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must
regularly
lift reclaim auger weighing up to
50 pounds
and propane hose weighing approximately
10 pounds . Must be able to climb 20' feed bins. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb in and out of feed and propane vehicles; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.Tools and Equipment: Feed truck, Propane truckEnvironment: Required to work outdoors in all types of weather and on wet, slippery surfaces.Personal Protective Equipment Required: Fall protection, safety goggles and/or glasses and rubber/nitrile gloves for feed truck fluids, insulated cryogenic gloves and face shield for propane. Must wear company provided facial covering.Chemicals Commonly Used: Disinfectants, vehicle fluids, propane.Safety: Team member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment.
