Director of Marketing The Strat (Las Vegas, NV)
Description:
Summary:
Responsible for the overall operational and strategic direction, administration, and coordination of all activities within the Marketing department. Implement and execute marketing strategies for casino and non-casino related marketing. Ensure the operational effectiveness of various marketing programs involving brand strategy, positioning, database marketing, loyalty marketing, customer relationship management, events, and sponsorships.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Hire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of department’s leadership staff
Develop, implement, execute, and achieve long and short-term departmental business strategies
Formulate and operate within annual marketing plan, operating and capital budget to accomplish goals and objectives
Implement the Corporate marketing strategy through direction of the Vice President of Marketing and Player Development
Monitor competitive products, marketing activities and Players Club point structures
Active in the preparation and delivery of The STRAT’s monthly budget review
Provide direction for player invitational events including tournaments, special shows, and other balanced event programming to optimize rated player participation
Collaborate with Corporate marketing regarding events and promotions, and direct marketing arenas
Coordinate cross-marketing initiatives with other sister properties and strategic partners
Work with Corporate Analytics team to evaluate trends and promotional results; use data to adjust future planning and events
Manage and traffic jobs to ensure timely creation, delivery, and placement, and execution
Participate in planning of advertising and promotion activities including print, online, and direct mail
Ensure a consistent brand image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events on property
Work collaboratively with department heads to ensure the adherence of property branding guidelines and standards
Ensure department efficiency and rectify any issues that deter work from being completed at a high level and on deadline
Consistently maintains a high level of professionalism, self-awareness, and approachability
Represent The STRAT and Golden Entertainment at on and off site events
Manage the partnership with known and prospective Influencers from traditional and social media
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
Minimum five years experience performing same or similar job duties
Previous management experience required, including project management and marketing analytics
Previous experience working with or in the gaming industry preferred
Must have the ability to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow up
Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Efficient using computers, including but not limited to MS Office
Leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower team members to achieve objectives with a “team” approach
Proven experience providing high level of guest service
Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
Verify right to work in the United States
