Financial Analyst
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial/Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex financial and business data to support decision-making processes across departments. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, advanced proficiency with data analysis tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large sets of financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support long-term financial planning and resource allocation.
- Financial Metrics & KPIs: Develop and monitor key financial and performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and provide actionable recommendations.
- Business Intelligence: Use data analytics tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to extract, analyze, and visualize business data for management review.
- Trend Analysis: Perform trend analysis on financial and business data to identify areas of improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue growth strategies.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve data accuracy, timeliness, and reporting efficiency.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide analytical support for special projects, financial investigations, and strategic initiatives as requested by management.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies, financial regulations, and industry standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, data analysis, or a related role or previous public accounting experience.
- Skills & Proficiency:
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, complex formulas).
- Experience with financial software and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, SAP, or similar tools).
- Solid understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and budgeting processes.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to perform detailed financial analysis, identify key trends, and present findings clearly.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex financial data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
