POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Operational Excellence Manager will play a pivotal role in driving clinical nursing excellence and operational efficiency across the health system. Utilizing lean principles and methodologies, this individual will lead and support initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve patient outcomes.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Process Analysis & Improvement: Conduct in-depth process analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, eliminate waste, and streamline workflows. Facilitate A3 thinking and a structured problem-solving approach. Lead value steam analysis (VSA) and rapid improvement event (RIE) sessions to drive improved operational outcomes by developing and deploying standard toolkits, processes, and clinical assessments.Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and leverage data to measure performance, identify trends, and drive strategic organizational change / track progress towards objectives.Management System: Train and coach staff on lean principles and tools, including value stream mapping, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies. Leverage lean methodologies as an integrated business system, defining how we develop and execute strategies, improve processes, align leadership behaviors, manage the work, and develop our people.Strategy Deployment: Develop and implement a comprehensive lean transformation strategy aligned with the organization's strategic goals. Ensures all strategies are aligned and balanced to support all Health First Pillars, Mission, Vision, and Values.Collaboration and Partnership: Collaborate with leaders across the organization to identify and implement lean initiatives that support broader organizational goals. Collaborates with division and corporate groups to ensure consistency in approach and execution of operations performance improvement strategies across the IDN.Project Management: Lead and manage lean transformation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, achieving and sustaining desired outcomes.People Development: Develops a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to excellence. Consults to and coaches executive sponsors, process owners, paired leaders, and frontline team members.Change management: Manage change processes through assuring stakeholders are aware of the need and have the desire to support change. Develop knowledge, abilities, and skills of stakeholders and teams to support change implementation. Mitigate resistance to change and reinforce behaviors that support change sustainment.

*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS *

Education: Bachelors required.Licensure: Registered Nurse licensure – Florida/compact.Certification: Lean Certification.Work Experience: 3 - 5 years.Work Experience in lieu of Education: 5 - 7 years.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. o Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. o Strong critical thinking skills. o Strong communication skills and professional presence. o Ability to maintain composure in stressful office environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s Degree.Licensure: Registered Nurse licensure – Florida/compact.Certification: Advanced Lean Certification.Work Experience: 5-10 years.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Strong understanding of lean principles and methodologies, such as value stream mapping, 5S, and continuous improvement. o Proven ability to analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop effective improvement strategies. o Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including the use of statistical tools and techniques. o Experience in leading and managing change initiatives, including overcoming resistance and driving adoption. o Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring of projects. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization. o Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. o Ability to identify and solve complex problems, using a structured and analytical approach. o Proven leadership skills, including motivating and inspiring teams to achieve results. o Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in process improvement and healthcare. o Experience in creation and implementation of leadership and management systems.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS *

Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping.Long periods of computer time or at workstation.Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.Communicating with others to exchange information.Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote.May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
