Financial Software Engineer Lead - Trading/Risk Systems

Arena Investors, LP is a global investment management firm specializing in credit investing – both private and public. Due to a new investment mandate, Arena is vastly expanding its credit market investment strategy.Arena’s Head of Software Development is looking for a hands-on software team lead who will focus on market trading and risk systems including integrations with counterparties and internal reporting infrastructure. The right candidate will balance technology skills with financial domain knowledge and good communication skills. As a development lead, this position would manage 2+ direct reports and drive projects from start to finish while working directly with their business constituents in portfolio management, risk, and trading operations.This is a great opportunity to be at the “ground floor” of a new business unit that will be Arena’s growth driver over the next 5 years. Ideal candidates will be organized, analytical, self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups.Responsibilities:

Support all systems for trading, risk, and market data: including configuration, integration, and vendor management.Enhancing trading capabilities and analysis with proprietary software development.Work with Portfolio Management, Risk Officer, and Trade Operations on data sourcing, data processing, data analysis, automation, and business intelligence. Translate their financial models and reports into technical specifications and either work with SAS vendors to implement and/or develop with internal/external resources.Integrate and enhance reporting with vendor systems and in-house data warehouse and secmaster.
