Position TitleClinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor, Division of Hematology and Oncology (Genitourinary Cancers)

Position DescriptionThe University of Washington (UW) Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology is recruiting for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member to join the Genitourinary (GU) group. The position would be at the Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor level. This position will hold an annual appointment that aligns with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30) and may be reappointed to subsequent annual terms. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The position will focus primarily on clinical care of patients with genitourinary (GU) cancers. Participation in clinical research is encouraged with clinical trials support provided. The position may also involve participation in the clinical and instructional activities of the Division of Hematology and Oncology. Teaching responsibilities would involve oversight of trainees during outpatient and inpatient clinical activities, in concert with the educational programs of the division.

Salary InformationThe base salary range for this position will be: $17,167 - $21,714 per month ($206,004 - $260,568 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Other compensation associated with this position may include Monthly Additional Compensation (MAC) with a range of: $12,500 - $18,334 per month ($150,000 - $220,008 annually). This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

Anticipated start date would be April 1, 2025.

QualificationsRequirements include MD or DO (or foreign equivalent), fellowship training in Medical Oncology and Hematology (or foreign equivalent), American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) eligible or certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
