Full TimeThe role you’ll contribute:AdventHealth is making a big stride in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, dedicated to transforming members’ health experience using technology and analytics. To remain ahead of the curve, we are looking for innovative individuals to help support data science as it relates to our Digital products. Our goal is to provide data-driven direction by providing analytical solutions and information tools to AdventHealth leadership and clients that drive the positive impact of AdventHealth patients and organization.We are currently hiring a Data Scientist. Under the direction of the Director of Corporate Data Science, the candidate will utilize cutting-edge AI and ML techniques, test rigorous hypotheses, design studies, and turn data and insights into actionable plans within healthcare. They will generate solutions that effectively translate clients’ business problems into well-defined data modeling or analytics problems. The Data Scientist will work cross-functionally and collaboratively with teams across the organization through machine learning and cutting-edge platforms. The scope of our work includes predictive modeling, NLP, smart search capabilities, forecasting, designing business experiments, and insight generation.The value you’ll bring to the team:Utilize the latest technologies and tools in AI, natural language processing (NLP), and large language model (LLM) to develop prototypes for business and deploy in production.Develop and implement new algorithms for processing and imputing clinical, financial, and operational data in collaboration with other internal technical and engineering teams.Transform large amounts of complex data into business insights and solutions by using statistics or the latest technology in machine learning, pattern recognition, text mining, and parallel/distributed computing.Identify data abnormalities and their root causes and suggest possible steps for mitigation.Serve as a member of the AI governance initiatives to enhance transparency and accountability as well as promote safety, reliability, and ethical standards.Perform deep analytics and reports with recommended solutions around various topic areas.Formulate validation strategies to ensure accurate and reliable data.Follow best practices for developing analytic methodologies and software.Advocate and educate on the value of data-driven decision-making focusing on the “how and why” of solving problems.Lead the life cycle of the data science project, from analysis, build, train, validate, and deploy.Create iterative, interpretable, dynamic, and scalable models that are seamlessly incorporated into analytic data products based on feedback from multiple stakeholders.Engineer features by using their business acumen to find new ways to combine disparate internal and external structured and unstructured data sets and sources.Collaborate and learn with a growing team of experienced Data Scientists.Stay connected with external sources of ideas through conferences and community engagements.Interpret and communicate analytic results to analytical and non-analytical business partners.Qualifications:Knowledge and Skills Required:Healthcare Business Acumen & Industry Knowledge:Strong record of healthcare data science experience with demonstrated results.Ability to approach high-level challenges with a clear eye on what is important; employing the right approach/methods to make the maximum use of time and human resources.Experience working with a healthcare data platform such as Epic and Cerner.Experience working in a large healthcare system is a strong plus.Proficient at detailing techniques and discoveries to technical and non-technical audiences in a language they can understand.Demonstrated ability to write scholarly publications.Quantitative/Technical Skills:5+ years of relevant experience in Data Science.3+ years of relevant experience in the Healthcare field.Experienced in LLM (GPT, Mistral, Flan, Falcon, etc.) and NLP models (transformers), Encoders, and Decoders.Programming Languages: Python, Pandas, SQL, R.Knowledgeable in frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Huggingface, Langchain, Scikit-learn.Experienced in MLOps using Docker, Flask, MLFlow, Git, Kubernetes, AWS, Linux, etc.Knowledgeable in PowerBI using DAX.Proficiency in deep learning techniques such as CNN, RNN, OCR.Highly competent in advanced statistical modeling and implementation of machine learning algorithms (Logistic, Bayesian, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Neural Networks, etc.).Proficiency in Azure ML platform, Endpoint development, and Deployment.Competency in Cloud-based computing and data integration services (MS Azure, Data Factory, Snowflake).Proficient at exploring new territories and finding creative and unusual ways to solve problems.Self-motivated, independent, and goal-oriented, a fast learner with good communication skills.Education and Experience Required:Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Quantitative Methods, or closely related quantitative field.Research work experience.5+ years of relevant experience in Data Science and unsupervised research.Organization:
