A law firm in Wilmington, DE is seeking an Insurance and Reinsurance Associate Attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. The candidate should possess extensive experience in drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, handling discovery, and managing depositions and court appearances. Strong academic credentials, superior research and writing skills, and experience in business development and client management are preferred.Duties:Analyze and interpret insurance policies, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.Handle complex insurance coverage disputes and reinsurance matters.Draft legal documents, including pleadings and dispositive motions.Manage all facets of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests and motions.Conduct depositions and represent clients in court appearances.Develop and maintain client relationships and manage cases independently.Engage in business development activities to expand the firm’s client base.Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and management.Stay current on industry trends and legal developments related to insurance and reinsurance.Requirements:2 to 6 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.Comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.Extensive experience in drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and handling all aspects of discovery.Experience with depositions and court appearances.Preferred experience in business development, client management, and independent case management.Excellent academic credentials with a strong record of legal research and writing.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the Delaware State Bar or eligibility to practice in Delaware.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.Experience in handling complex litigation and insurance coverage issues.Strong client management and business development skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
