Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering's Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. Clients benefit from the proven processes and tools developed and used by Kiewit to minimize project risk.Location
This position is based out of our Lone Tree, CO office.Responsibilities
Coordinate with internal and external design production teams to setup, initiate, manage the CAD effort and deliver projects.Audit agency templates for utility, functionality and needed updates.Edit agency templates to be compatible with new software versions, functionality, efficiency and standardization.Write and maintain workspace configurations, variable settings and control file(s) content and settings.Coordinate with design partner’s CAD Managers/Coordinators to resolve technical or logistical issues.Coordinate with IT to solve local and project level problems related to CAD deliverables and project technology needs.Oversee the work of CAD designers, ensuring that drawings adhere to applicable project standards and CAD quality.Create and maintain Project CAD Manuals.Contribute to the creation of Project Execution Plans.Start projects with a CAD presentation kick-off meeting.Audit projects for compliance to district quality procedures and project client standards.Participate in projects internal design reviews (IDR) to ensure client standards are met for milestone deliverables.Implement tools to validate compliance of projects CAD deliverables in adherence with the project's standards.Educate yourself on the latest software advancements and create CAD educational presentations.Mentor and develop CAD team members.Participate in CAD Management meetings with the intent of creating the best CAD system and users on the planet.Qualifications
10+ years’ experience of mostly Autodesk software packages on civil infrastructure projects.Prefer to see CAD Management role on at least one major design-build project.Experience with the implementation of US DOT or other client specific CAD standards on projects.Design production experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D.Working knowledge of ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud.Experience developing project templates.Experience with front end digital coordination efforts, ensuring all discipline design and production teams are enabled and in compliance with project requirements.Experience with the definition, documentation and implementation of CAD standards and execution plans.Experience with troubleshooting CAD issues, setting up project content and delivering CAD training.Experience with a multi-format CAD production environment and corresponding interoperability challenges.Strong communication skills.Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities.Strong understanding of engineering work processes.Self-motivated and results focused, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.A problem solving, conceptual thinker and able to work with complex systems.Associates degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology or similar program experience.Other Requirements
Regular, reliable attendance.Work productively and meet deadlines timely.Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.Perform work safely and effectively.Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.Base Compensation:
