Job Description:The Demand Sales Planning Manager reports to the Director of Customer Supply Chain, managing the unit sales demand signal for Royal Canin US & Eukanuba. Leading demand forecasting process through collaboration with functional teams & influences without authority. They are a champion of embracing reality, promoting unbiased forecasting through one-number principles, and encouraging transparency through shared leadership.
They are a role model for discipline through a structured monthly process of S&OP.
What are we looking for?
Minimum of a BA/BS in a Business, Supply Chain or a Business-related fieldMinimum 5 years of business experience in CPG industries, working with customers in Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing Services or other similar function; previous Demand planning experience is most preferred.Solid understanding of FMCG industry and proven S&OP+ process experience (preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong analytical skills & experience - tell the story through dataFluent in base systems including MS Excel, PPT, Visio, PwrBI; experience within industry forecasting software (Kinaxis/Manhattan/OMP) preferred.What will be your key responsibilities?
Leads monthly meetings with Sales leadership teams to gather information related to Risks and Opportunities to incorporate in the forecastFacilitates monthly S&OP+ Demand Management Reviews (DMR’s) with Business Unit General Managers, Sales Leadership Teams, Marketing, Finance, CPFR & Supply Chain teamsCollaborate monthly with Regional Demand Planning & CPFR to develop a rolling 26-month period forecast based upon the information received from Sales, Marketing, and Leadership TeamsResponsible for the reconciliation of assigned Business Units with overall US Business and Regional TeamPartner with business units and cross functional teams on strategy setting, annual execution planning and customer joint business planningPerform monthly and/or ad hoc analysis for Business Units and functional teams that influences business decisionsWork with Sales and Marketing to develop sales forecast for new products, discontinuations and future innovation pipelineDemand Advisor influencing functional business decisions through analytics presented to leadership and functional support teamsWorks with Regional Demand Planners to develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation that monitors shipment performance versus the forecast and determines root-cause to improve accuracyAbility to influence internal organization around business, customer, and market opportunitiesOther responsibilities as assignedWhat can you expect from Mars?
