Job Title: Leadership Development Program (LDP) Support Specialist, SCOPESLocation: Bogota, Colombia - Bogota, 110111 COMiami, FL - Miami, FL 33109 US (Primary)Category: ContractorsSummary:The Unconventional is seeking a qualified Leadership Development Program (LDP) Support Specialist to provide support to the U.S. South Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Southern Command Operations Planning and Engagement Support (SCOPES). USSOUTHCOM is responsible for providing contingency planning, operations, and security cooperation in its assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR), which currently includes Central America, South America, and the Caribbean Sea. For more than 50 years, USSOUTHCOM has worked to build regional and interagency partnerships to ensure the continued stability of the Western Hemisphere and the forward defense of the U.S. homeland.The USSOUTHCOM mission is to deter aggression, defeat threats, rapidly respond to crises, and build regional capacity by working with partner nations and mission partners to enhance security and defend the U.S. homeland and national interests. USSOUTHCOM is responsible for providing contingency planning, operations, and security cooperation in its AOR to understand and counter threats from transnational criminal organizations, violent extremist organizations, and malign regional and external state actors. The objectives of the SCOPES TO include the following: provide integrated services that promote, facilitate, and enhance USSOUTHCOM capabilities to meet the Commander’s priorities. USSOUTHCOM intends to utilize this Task Order to expand relationships with allies and mission partners to decrease response times to security threats, humanitarian needs, and natural disasters.Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:Coordinates and facilitates various aspects of leadership development initiatives.Manages the logistics of training programs, workshops, and seminars aimed at developing leadership skills among military and civilian personnel.Collaborates with internal and external trainers, schedules sessions, and ensures all necessary materials and resources are available.Tracks participant progress, provides feedback, and supports the evaluation and continuous improvement of the program.Maintains strong communication channels with participants, trainers, and organizational leaders to align the program with USSOUTHCOM and service-specific strategic goals and ensures its effectiveness in cultivating future leaders.Required Qualifications:Former E8 – E9 or O4 – O6 with 10+ years background in ops/training within a battalion level staff or higher.Has 5-10 years experience with management techniques, methods, theories, principles and DoD based training and education concepts, to assure optimum utilization of training across the supported organization.Has experience in managing multiple training and education programs with defined objectives leveraging technical and administrative oversight to ensure success.Experience applying regulations, other official guidance and principles, including the latest procedures and techniques sufficient to oversee the planning, development and implementation of the technical aspects of programs specific to the position being filled.Experience applying basic budget management principles and practices (i.e. ability to maintain and manage financial resources), conducting workshops and planning training events.Experience applying communicative techniques to effectively and diplomatically interact with internal and external customers.Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).Clearance:

CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required. Travel to support mission requirements in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), including locations outside of the SOUTHCOM AOR and AOI, SOUTHCOM Units, and Partner Nations may also be necessary.
