We have an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager/Senior Environmental Engineer to support our environmental consulting business. In this seller-doer position, you will collaborate with a team to develop a strategy and capture and execute environmental projects across multiple regions. The ideal candidate should possess experience in environmental services executing projects, such as environmental compliance (permitting, reporting, and auditing), annual emission inventory development, permit application assembly, negotiations with permitting Agencies, and professional client interaction.

As a project manager, you will balance sales and billable work, engaging and negotiating with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to successfully execute work and secure new projects. Additionally, you will collaborate with peers and leaders to develop new clients and broaden our reach across multiple industries.

Your Role:

• Support DoD and industrial clients on air quality programs and other compliance assurance projects.• Ensure all project phases are completed on time, by the client's expectations, and within budget.• Prepare proposals, manage projects, and perform technical work as necessary.• Production of deliverables, such as technical reports for various agencies.• Identify and nurture commercial/industrial/government client accounts.• Assist with developing and delivering sales presentations to prospective clients and key stakeholders.• Assist with developing and implementing growth strategies to increase the client base for a broad range of integrated consulting services.• Mentor and assist with developing and hiring junior staff members, as needed.• Collection of pertinent air quality data, ability to critically analyze process information and provide recommendations to the client and develop technical reports in support of environmental programs for federal, state, and local clients.• Data review, option evaluation, applicability review, and recommendation of best results.• Client interaction and presentation of options and results.• Travel to client locations required to gather information for proposal development.• Travel to include data collection and ability to identify potential noncompliance instances, critical air emission data collection, and field work oversite.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in an environmental field.• Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.• Solid knowledge of air quality regulations and ability to critically analyze information and provide recommendations to the client.• Ability to develop technical reports in support of environmental programs for federal, state, and local clients.• Solid understanding of Title V compliance reviews, Greenhouse Gas Inventories and reporting, permitting, and assembly.• At least five years of experience working with clients as a project or task manager. Business development and strategic planning experience in environmental remediation with the private or public sector is highly desired.• Existing client relationships in the commercial market sector and a proven track record of winning work are a plus.• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.• Experience working in various market sectors such as commercial, DoD, or the Navy is a plus.• Proficient computer skills, MS Excel, Word, ACCESS.• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.• A passion for excellence and fostering trusted relationships.

This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

Education & Experience:• A bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field is required, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience in an environmental field.• Significant experience and knowledge of the CAA, permitting, and emission inventories.

Language & Communication Skills: Must be fluent in the English language (writing and speaking). Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently both in verbal and written forms.

Mathematical Skills: Successful candidate will have the ability to use mathematic skills to complete air pollution estimates. Must be able to approach problems and produce reasonable conclusions.
