Group/Division
The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field-based, customer-facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. This team partners closely with customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software, and expertise, ensuring alignment between customer needs and product offerings.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
The applications engineer in this position will be a key growth enabler for the Surfscan Division, focusing on technology that enables wafer, IC, and equipment manufacturers to develop, qualify, and monitor their process tools.
Job Responsibilities
Develop an in-depth expertise in product operation, applications, and customer processes.
Collaborate with critical customers to ensure KLA products are adopted and applied to their unique problems.
Support pre-sale activities including product demos, presentations, and technical papers.
Support post-sale activities including customer training, support, and development of new use cases.
Support internal customers such as service, engineering, and operations.
Qualifications
Master's Level Degree OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or related field.
A background in IC processing OR Semiconductor equipment is desirable.
Ability to perform complex data/image analysis using data-analysis tools.
Good balance between technical skills and people skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years.
