As part of one of Renesas’s most prominent Power Management Groups, you will develop Software to support leading datacenter operators and infrastructure hardware developers as they deploy our digital power control devices.What we need:The software team is seeking a Senior SW Engineer who is technically savvy and is excited about working within a SoC development team to produce customer facing software to enable our customers. This position involves a wide range of challenges from interfacing with IC and firmware designers to working with marketing to present the IC products in intuitive ways. If you seek a place to shine with no artificial barriers apply now!What You’ll doDesign, develop, test, and maintain software that meets the needs of both customers and internal teamsGather and drive clarity on software requirements from diverse groups including customers, application engineers, hardware, and firmware engineersContribute to both existing and new projects, covering a broad range of languages and scope. We use Java, Kotlin, C/C++, and Python.Aid in code reviews for fellow team members, as requiredSkills You’ll NeedBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering5+ years’ experience in software development requiredExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracyExcellent coding skills using Java, Python and/or C/C++Good exposure to JavaScript or typescriptExecutes creative software solutions, design, development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsStrong understanding of Software Architecture and Design principles, Behavior-Driven Development and unit testing approachesExperience with basic electronics, microcontroller programming and bus communications strongly preferredExperience in DevOps including JIRA, Confluence and GitLab preferredMust have highly developed written and verbal cross-functional communication skillsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
