This role offers immediate opportunities to interact with clients, manage a range of dynamic transactions, and collaborate with energetic attorneys across the firm.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Engage directly with clients on various technology transactions and licensing matters within the life sciences sector.Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including partnering and licensing arrangements.Manage and structure agreements with academic or research institutions, including research and development agreements.Oversee manufacturing, supply, and distribution agreements, clinical trial arrangements, and material transfer agreements.Handle non-disclosure agreements and transactions related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-outs, and joint ventures.Collaborate with other attorneys firmwide to address and resolve complex legal issues.Provide strategic legal counsel and support to clients, including day-to-day legal matters and high-stakes transactions.Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in the life sciences field.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice in the state of Washington.Minimum of 6 years of experience in transactional and licensing matters, with a focus on the life sciences sector.Demonstrated experience with complex partnering and licensing arrangements, R&D agreements, and M&A transactions.Strong interest and background in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, digital health, or related fields.Proven ability to manage significant client interactions and relationships.Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines efficiently.A background in biological sciences, chemistry, engineering, pharmacy, or business is advantageous.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
