Manage and oversee patent litigation cases from inception to resolutionConduct pre-trial analysis and develop mitigation strategiesHandle discovery matters and disputes efficientlyTake and defend depositionsCollaborate with experts and review their reportsRepresent clients in court hearings and trialsProvide clients with strategic legal advice on intellectual property mattersStay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trendsMentor junior associates and contribute to team developmentParticipate in business development and client relationship management activitiesRequirements:
Minimum of 6+ years of patent litigation experienceOpen to learning and handling trademark litigation casesExperience in ANDA litigation is a plusStrong litigation experience throughout the case lifecycle, including:Pre-trial analysisDiscovery matters/disputesTaking and defending depositionsWorking with experts and their reportsCourt hearings and trialExcellent academic credentials and referencesEducation:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolEducational background in biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or life sciences preferredCertifications:
Admission to the Bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility to waive inSkills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional written and oral communication abilitiesHigh level of professionalism and ethical standardsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under pressureStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationshipsProficiency in legal research and familiarity with litigation support toolsAttention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
