The Warehouse Manager mentors, guides, and develops their team, ensuring safe and cGMP-compliant operations. They also communicate and ensure staff understands and follows the Site safety objectives. The manager implements strategies to optimize the Warehouse & Logistics operation while ensuring alignment to site, customer, and company goals. This person is responsible for defining and implementing procedures and policies within Warehouse operation to ensure audit/ inspection readiness at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifies Warehouse/Receiving responsibilities, work to be performed and timelines pertaining to area of responsibilityUnderstand regulatory requirements and Lonza policies pertaining to the area of responsibility. Ensure Warehouse/FPA and Dispensing policies or procedures are appropriate and establish and/or revise, as necessary.Implement new strategies and process improvements to support the changing environment within the Supply Chain.Measures throughput, performance and other appropriate metrics and report them to management.Develop the technical and leadership skills of Warehouse/FPA and Dispensing personnel and perform mid-year and annual reviews of supervised Warehouse/FPA and Dispensing personnel.Acts as advisor to other members of the Logistics Team to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problemPerform other duties as assigned.Key Requirements:
BS/BA degree preferred, or 10+ years' work experience in Supply Chain.8 years combined in Warehouse/ Logistics experience, preferably in a GMP Supply Chain operationMinimum of 4 years of experience of people leadershipSafe work environment leadership, development of high performing teams, delivering progressive continuous improvement within the warehouse operation.Excellent written and verbal communicationValidated project management skillsThis leadership role requires the successful incumbent to lead the department leaders and individual contributors who are direct reports. This role is required to inspire and compel excellence in performance in the warehouse operation team through visible energy, enthusiasm and creditability
