Planned Parenthood Action Fund

is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education. Position Overview: Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek a dynamic Director, Latinx Campaigns. This role reports to the Senior Director of Constituency Campaigns in the Policy, Campaigns, and Advocacy Division of PPFA. The Organizing and Engagement Campaigns department provides support to state and local Planned Parenthood affiliates and advocacy and political organizations (collectively, “local PP organizations”), cross-divisional campaign alignment and implementation, and internal coordination in building long term organizing power to protect and expand access to sexual and reproductive health care and ensure that those most impacted by policy decisions have a say in those decisions. Purpose: This position will lead and manage the national Latinx organizing (Raiz) and campaigns program and team. This role will focus on creating and implementing a comprehensive strategy to engage Latinx constituencies in winning reproductive health advocacy campaigns, build power among local teams, and strengthen the movement for health equity and sexual and reproductive health. This role must foster strong partnerships with local Planned Parenthood affiliates, external partner organizations, and national office staff to build and foster a culture change wherein Latinx communities and leaders are partners in building strategy to innovate and transform campaign efforts to protect Planned Parenthood and issues that impact Planned Parenthood patients through movement building, advocacy and leadership development. Key Responsibilities: Lead and define overall program approach based on data and the political, internal, and external influences. Identify Latinx organizing program steps and time frame, including creating electoral program concepts. Develop vision and program goals for the expanding Raiz organizing program to achieve organizing wins through state and federal fights, issue-based campaigns, and electoral campaigns for PPAF and Planned Parenthood Votes. Drive the impact of the Latinx organizing program and team, internally and externally, serving as Latinx audience experts. Advise regional campaign directors and managers on core Latinx organizing and engagement strategies. Set expectations for race equity in program design. Oversee budget, develop and administer yearly affiliate grant process for Latinx organizing program. Extend the reach of constituency programs by identifying new external partnerships. Prepare briefings, reports, and documents for development reports and senior leaders of PPAF, PPFA, and affiliates. Work with Senior Director of Constituency Campaigns to set yearly goals for the program. Inform state power building goals for the future and impact of Latinx organizing at the local and state level. Oversee co-creation of Spanish language and bilingual assets. Assist the Latino Communications team in logistics and serve as a spokesperson for Spanish-language interviews. Engagement: Collaborate with leaders across the organization to develop an integrated strategy on priorities, budget planning, and advocacy campaigns. Serve as a senior and strategic leader in the Organizing and Electoral Campaigns department. Support affiliate public affairs and field leadership in building sustainable race equity strategies. Design and execute trainings for Planned Parenthood Raiz Organizing Program. Collaborate with the Partnerships team in planning conferences and partnership events. Collaborate with the Multicultural, Latino, and Digital Communications Teams to support the development of media strategies. Develop electoral campaigns and strategies for engaging Latinx communities in every election cycle. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): High school diploma or General Education Development Certificate (GED) required. 8+ years experience in political campaigns, electoral work, and/or community organizing. Direct management experience managing a diverse team of managers and organizers. Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is required. Planned Parenthood affiliate experience is preferred. Experience as a grassroots organizer; adept at consulting and advising. Commitment to advancing racial equity. Strategic thinker with a clear political analysis. Ability to resolve conflicts and optimize team performance. Understanding of young people and communities of color, especially young people of color. Strong partner relationships with Latinx-centered organizations. Travel:

20-25% domestic travel is expected as part of this role. Salary:

$115,000 - $125,000 a year Total offer package includes generous vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, medical, dental, and vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave, and 401k.
