Planned Parenthood Action Fund

is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education. Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek an experienced and dynamic Director, Intelligence based in either our NYC or DC office. This job reports to the National Director, Affiliate Security & Response Planning with teams in Global Safety & Security (GSS) tasked to establish operational standards to enhance safety & security throughout the organization, at their offices, and for staff and guests. Their leadership will complement other Safety, Security, & Workplace Services leaders who collectively work to protect our people, places, guests, and brand. This position is located either in our New York City, NY office or our Washington, DC office. Purpose:

This role will lead the GSS Intelligence and Investigations program and is seen as a subject matter expert who offers compelling thought leadership around Intelligence and Investigations programs and procedures. Although it does not include oversight of the GSS Affiliate or National Office physical security programs, they will remain in close coordination on those efforts. This role is directly responsible for: Providing comprehensive and timely intelligence research analysis and threat assessments to aid in the mitigation of risk and decision-making for the organization. Managing intelligence analyst(s), to include managing 24/7 support through third party providers and platforms. Working closely with GSS leadership in the development of mitigation strategies and recommended security best practices. Monitoring, managing, and analyzing data collected from security incidents and threats. Providing intelligence support for all National Office special events. Embracing an innovative mindset to explore technology, methodologies, and processes to improve products and deliverables. Providing both tactical and strategic intelligence and analytical leadership and support. Maintaining strong relationships with law enforcement counterparts who play a key response and intelligence support role. Offering authoritative guidance with operational and political perspectives while considering organizational strategy. Monitoring known opposition groups and individuals who pose a threat to Planned Parenthood operations, offices, staff, events, and guests. Playing an integral role in the innovation and strategic development of this program. Acting as a secondary leader for the National Director of Affiliate Security & Response Planning, for any response, as well as GSS program support, when needed. Supporting the GSS program in other areas, as needed, and other duties as assigned by the National Director of Affiliate Security & Response Planning. Delivery:

This role will manage the collection, analysis, and communication of intelligence that may negatively impact staff safety, PP locations, which includes our global offices, business operations, events, or the PP brand. They provide timely and scheduled intelligence publications, advisories, and other products. They will lead continual process improvements and evaluation of emerging technology to ensure this program operates at the highest standards. It will support strategic objectives to help the Federation's resilience and security. Engagement:

They will also work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners, and law enforcement counterparts with investigations and intelligence sharing. It will be imperative to collaborate for sound, rapid response, as well as long-term support, for any safety and security risks to the organization. This role will also develop and provide opposition awareness training and support staff with potential threats, harassment, or suspicious circumstances. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

A minimum of 15+ years of security experience in positions of increasing responsibility, including at least ten (10) years of management experience is required. At least 10 years of specialized intelligence and investigations experience is required. A combination of federal law enforcement and private-sector corporate security is preferred. Must be knowledgeable about social media platforms, open-source search methods, investigative techniques, and electronic crimes. Strong analytical, presentation, organizational, leadership and communications skills. Able to multitask, prioritize, work under time constraints and resolve issues with minimal supervision. Able to examine information and to provide concise, comprehensive, and/or consolidated briefings with key recommendations. Must have demonstrated the ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism, diplomacy, and a calm demeanor. Able to quickly adapt to the changing environment and the challenges unique to the Planned Parenthood Federation. High ethical standards and exemplary customer service skills are mandatory. Able to problem solve, collaborate, and build strong relationships with partners. Strong program and project management experience. Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and able to learn new applications quickly. Knowledge of diverse groups, working within a multicultural workforce, and sensitivity to and appreciation for cultural differences. Occasionally available outside of normal working hours but must be responsive to text messages and/or emails for operational needs. Less than 10% domestic travel will be required to support the GSS program. $140,000 - $150,000 a year
