Job Title: Principal Consultant-Networks
Location: NYC, NY - Onsite from Day1
Pay Rate: $60/hr - $68/hr
Duration : 11 Months
This position will handle Level 1/2 troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of network security tasks. Escalate complex issues to L3.
Responsibilities
Network/Security Engineer to join a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging environment.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to utilize and strengthen both technical and professional skillsets.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate conceptual understanding of Network Security, DMZ segmentation along with experience working with routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
In addition, this person will be working with telecom and equipment vendors until full resolution of the issue.
The candidate will be required to troubleshoot issues, gather necessary troubleshooting information from customers and escalate to a next level if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
Graduate or post graduate in Technology with Computers or IT stream
OR
Graduate or post graduate in any stream with course in Networking
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Required Skills:
Working experience with different Cisco platforms: ASRs, Nexus, Catalyst
Knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
Troubleshooting Layer 2 issues. Full understanding of STP
Experience configuring, implementing and troubleshooting various firewall platforms such as Checkpoint, Juniper and Fortinet.
Troubleshooting dot1x/EAP. Handle NAC related issues
Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, troubleshooting various application issues using Wireshark, tcpdump
Knowledge of McAfee Web Gateways.
Add/modify/delete entries in Infoblox DNS
Preferred/Desired Skills:
Experience with Banking E-comm network security infrastructure
Knowledge of ITIL, integration across IPC (incident, Problem & Change Management)
