Government, Land Use, Environment and Energy (GLUEE)Direct Counsel is seeking an associate attorney with 5+ years of experience in land use or environmental law to join the Government, Land Use, Environment, and Energy (GLUEE) Department at a premier law firm in San Francisco. The position involves handling a diverse range of regulatory, administrative, transactional, and litigation matters associated with land and natural resource development. Key areas of focus include project development, CEQA and NEPA compliance, public lands and mining, as well as air, water, and energy regulation.Qualifications:Experience:
At least 5 years in land use or environmental law.Technical Expertise:
Strong background in land use and environmental regulations, with experience in project development and regulatory compliance.Preferred Skills:
Experience in land use litigation (writ of mandate) and public lands is preferred; real estate transactions experience is also advantageous.Education:
Excellent academic credentials.Licensing:
Active admission to the State Bar of California.Communication Skills:
Strong written, interpersonal, and communication abilities.Compensation:The expected base compensation range for this position is between $230,000 and $260,000, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work within a respected team, addressing complex and impactful land use and environmental issues in California.
