BI Analyst
at Lansing and you are a vital part of our journey to make data meaningful, accessible, and impactful. You will leverage tools and techniques like Power BI, SQL, Excel, Python, and Power Automate, while creating interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that bring our data to life and help shape key business decisions. Your responsibilities include building data models, conducting data transformation, troubleshooting data discrepancies, and monitoring KPI metrics. You will help streamline data workflows, optimize processes, and drive automation. Ideal candidates will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication and a collaborative spirit that aligns with our positive, value-driven team culture at Lansing.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools like Power BI and similar platforms.Build data models, design database queries, and create insightful, accessible reports and visualizations.Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to ensure data integrity and uncover trends, patterns, and insights.Identify, design, and implement process improvements, including automation of manual tasks and optimization of data workflows.Troubleshoot data discrepancies, assess criticality, and impact, and provide effective resolutions and workarounds.Monitor and analyze key business performance metrics, offering insights and recommendations to enhance processes and drive growth.Collaborate with cross-functional teams—such as analysts, business stakeholders, and IT—to understand data needs and deliver impactful data analysis and reporting.Perform additional duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics with a proven track record of creating complex dashboards and ability to conduct analyticsExperience with Microsoft Power Apps is a plusAny experience with advanced analytic techniques (e.g., predictive models, regression models, cluster analysis etc.) is a plusQUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERRED SKILLS:Proficient in Power BI and other data visualization tools.Skilled in SQL, Python, and similar languages for building and optimizing database queries.Proficient in data cleaning and transformation techniques, including handling duplicates, managing missing values, and standardizing data formats for analysis.Advanced Excel skills, with expertise in complex formulas, data analysis tools, spreadsheet optimization, and data validation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Knowledgeable in statistics, with experience using statistical packages and analyzing large datasets across multiple platforms.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for working with data and finding actionable insights.Creative, self-motivated, and eager to tackle complex challenges.Effective verbal and written communication skills for conveying insights and collaborating with team members.Team-oriented and open to learning from experienced professionals, with a commitment to contributing to a positive, values-driven work culture at Lansing’s Home Office.ALJ123A Career with Lansing Building Products offers:
