Job Overview:

The Sales Director will lead a sales team focused on organically growing Certus’ digital skills-based training. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating revenue-generating opportunities, managing sales processes, and increasing market share through the team. In addition, the Director of Sales will develop and facilitate the lead-to-contract process through pricing development, proposal review, contract negotiations, and client presentations. Overall, the successful candidate will lead our training-focused sales team with a positive attitude to differentiate Certus from the competition to increase revenue and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Lead sales team to achieve team goals, increase engagement & coordinate with operations.

Evaluate market conditions, prepare sales plans, and develop cost-effective business strategies to achieve objectives.

Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with peers and other departments.

Engage with customers to develop relationships.

Present solutions via online meetings.

Suggest and implement improvements in the sales process.

Understand client needs and requirements to present effective value propositions.

Report and monitor sales metrics for continuous improvement.

Prepare sales forecasts regularly.

Ongoing interaction with Operations and Marketing to identify key Strategic Initiatives to drive growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of Account Executives to achieve revenue targets.

Develop a key understanding of growth in new accounts to help develop our land and expand strategy.

Set, track, and meet sales targets for your team.

Coach, train, and mentor Account Executives to continue improving employee engagement and professional development.

Lead forecasting processes to deliver consistent, scalable growth.

Requirements:

5+ years of Leading sales team in service-based or Software-as-a-Service industry required.

Demonstrated ability to provide accurate sales forecasts and relevant reporting based upon realistic timelines.

General trade skills understanding is a plus.

Experience in a consultative, value-based, driven sales methodology.

Ability to penetrate and sell to executive-level decision-makers.

Proactive approach to work and desire to act independently.

Must always display professional and ethical conduct.

Competitive nature with a need to succeed well working in a team environment.

The ability to work with little supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft products.

Note employment is contingent upon background checks.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

May require travel as needed for internal stakeholder meetings.

Performance Expectations:

Achievement of sales targets and revenue growth for the corresponding sales team.

Effective leadership and development of individual contributing sales team.

Strategic sales planning and pipeline management to drive growth in the organization.

Please note this position is base pay plus commission. Base pay will be between $120,000 - $130,000 based on experience. Quarterly Commissions are expected to be around $10,000/quarter based on leading your team to meet sales quotas but are not capped.
