SUMMARY
Works to develop a clientele that books small groups in both Beach & Tennis Club and The Shores on an ongoing basis. Responds to requests and leads with a sense of urgency so that response time is immediate, and proposals are accurate, flawless and appealing. Has thorough product knowledge and excellent presentation and public speaking skills, consistently demonstrates a positive, team-first attitude and is a service-oriented person.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Target group accounts in the assigned geographic and/or vertical market with an emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation
Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (travel agencies, group representation firms) to ensure sales efforts are well coordinated.
Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals
Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal and external customers, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction
Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, site inspections, etc.
Effectively uses sales resources and administrative/staff support
Generates contracts and creative proposals to meet customer needs
Provides conference services to events that he/she books including menu planning, meeting services, guest room support, and transition to Banquets.
Presents ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well organized manner
Continues communications with group contacts before, during and after all meetings to encourage rebook of business or to solicit other business within account.
Entertains group contacts while on property and in the marketplace. Sales managers may be required to entertain outside of normal office hours
Travel to assigned geographic market, assigned territory or event location based on travel schedule
Participates in one-on-one meetings weekly with the DOSM.
Attend all meetings related to the group sales department
Maintain the highest ethical standards
Achieve room night and revenue monthly sales goals.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
History of consistent track record of exceeding production goal
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to develop strategic sales plans with measurable results
Execute compelling and personalized site inspections
Creativity in sales proposals to advance business opportunities
Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations
Proactively explore networking opportunities
An understanding of Ivvy and Cvent.
Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Sales Manager in hospitality sales, particularly in a high group volume environment with city-wide experience
Must be strategic and well organized.

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand.
In addition, it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
