We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Marketing / Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead and scale our customer acquisition and retention strategies across multiple digital and traditional channels, including our owned website, Amazon, social media, and marketplaces. This role is integral in driving revenue growth, building a loyal customer base, and achieving ambitious KPIs across the full marketing funnel. The ideal candidate will have a track record of scaling marketing efforts in a high-growth e-commerce or digital-first environment, combining data-driven insights with creative strategies. With a focus on both paid and organic channels, you will oversee and optimize our investments in paid social, display, TV/CTV, direct mail, affiliate marketing, and influencer partnerships. You’ll also steer efforts in creative, CRO, web development, and organic social to ensure a cohesive brand experience. In this role, you will build and inspire a high-performing team, create a culture of rapid testing and learning, and drive forward-thinking initiatives to meet our ambitious growth goals. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Recruit, coach, and mentor a talented team across paid and organic channels, website development, and creative functions. Strategy & Execution: Develop and refine our channel expansion strategy, deploy budgets efficiently to meet acquisition and retention targets, and drive incremental growth in customer lifetime value. Data-Driven Marketing: Oversee reporting and analytics across all channels, own KPI performance (ROAS, CAC, CLTV, churn, etc.), and leverage attribution models to optimize spend allocation. Testing & Optimization: Establish a testing and experimentation framework to continuously improve customer acquisition and retention, ensuring a rapid pace of learning and adaptation. Budget Management: Strategically allocate a significant marketing budget ($1.5M/month), assessing ROI to ensure maximum efficiency and impact. Channel Oversight: Directly manage paid social, search, display, influencer, affiliate, and organic marketing efforts, enhancing customer engagement and re-engagement across the funnel. Qualifications: Experience: 5 years in digital marketing, specifically in customer acquisition and retention within a fast-growth, e-commerce, or DTC brand environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, etc.) and strong skills in data interpretation, A/B testing, and optimization. Performance-Driven: Proven ability to manage performance-focused campaigns and optimize for KPIs such as CPA, ROAS, CAC/CLTV, and retention cohorts. Strategic & Analytical: Experience with budgeting, attribution modeling, and effective channel expansion strategies. Leadership: Skilled in team development and agency management, with a collaborative approach to driving cross-functional success. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; comfortable taking calculated risks and wearing multiple hats.
