Construction Project Manager (Acoustical Ceiling)

Position Overview: This unique role is designed for professionals with experience in acoustical and specialty ceilings who are capable of producing accurate estimates, securing contracts, and managing projects from start to finish. The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for estimating, selling, and managing projects related to acoustical and specialty ceilings, ensuring that all work meets the high standards expected in commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have hands-on installation experience, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze project requirement documents, blueprints, and plans to develop accurate cost estimates for acoustical and specialty ceiling projects ranging from $10K to $10M. Prepare detailed take-offs and material quantities for bidding purposes. Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or aesthetics. Utilize industry knowledge and market trends specific to ensure competitive pricing and profitability. Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation. Follow up with clients after submitting proposals to secure contracts and close sales. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the sales process specific to installations and through close out. Manage the full life cycle of awarded projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Coordinate with field supervision, warehouse, and administrative support staff to ensure smooth project execution. Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve any challenges. Track project schedules and budgets, adjusting as needed to meet profit expectations. Performs other duties as assigned by their manager. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma with proven experience, or an associate degree with relevant experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction, specifically in acoustical and specialty ceiling installations or similar construction applications. Experience in estimating, sales, and project management related to acoustical and specialty ceilings or similar construction applications. Possesses strong skills in clear, professional communication, both written and verbal, with clients and internal teams. Familiarity with On-Screen Takeoff / Quick Bid or similar estimating software is a plus. Bilingual candidates are a plus. Work Environment & Physical Demands: This role is primarily office-based but may require occasional travel by car or air. Work involves operating standard office equipment and may involve prolonged periods of sitting. Must be able to access all areas of the facility.
