Great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Loan Closer to join a top law firm in their Washington, DC office on a direct hire on-site basis. The Commercial Real Estate Loan Closer will be responsible for completing tasks related to the closing of commercial loans. The closer will work with internal and external parties including lenders, clients, borrowers, third parties (such as escrow agents and title companies), and firm attorneys and paralegals to process complex commercial loan closings. The closer is responsible for quality control of all closing documents and the closer’s duties include, but are not limited to the following: Tracking, collecting and assembling appropriate closing documents, due diligence and information in connection with loan transactions Reviewing organizational documents and confirming all parties and signature blocks are accurately reflected in all closing documents Confirming all signature pages have been received and all documents are complete Preparing and reviewing loan documents for execution by all parties Preparing UCC Financing Statements Confirming all loans are closed in compliance with Firm and client procedures and requirements, and following up, as needed, with borrowers, lenders and title companies on items required to close Preparing and delivering required final loan packages and binders to client Following up on post-closing delivery requirements Maintaining tickler files and informing attorneys and paralegals of missing delivery and post-closing items Proofreading form loan documents for alignment with client drafting rules Qualifications Must have beginning-to-intermediate knowledge of lending and closing procedures, and experience with title insurance policies Must have an associate degree or equivalent from a college or university and 1-2 years of commercial loan closing/paralegal experience OR a high school diploma and at least 3 to 5 years of related commercial loan closing/paralegal experience, education, and training Adept at working both independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and communication skills and attention to detail are a must Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with overtime If you would like to learn more about the Commercial Real Estate Loan Closer position available in Washington, DC, please submit your resume, in Word format, by clicking the Apply Now button.
