The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as an IT Services Solutions Architect & Operations Engineer. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the agency's Information Management Division.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

The IT Services Solution Architect & Operations Engineer provides technical services to include IT operations, end user support, infrastructure and server management, asset management, projects, and internal DMAS agency specific application support.

This position will be responsible for providing IT project leadership and architecting solutions for operational support, geared towards meeting the goals of the IT Services Team and the Information Management Division.

This position serves as a resource to the Agency IT Resource (AITR) by collaborating with multiple vendor resources and meeting all security policies, guidelines and standards for any effort related to the general scope of IT activity within DMAS.

Minimum Qualifications

Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:

Considerable knowledge of server and network infrastructure.

Considerable knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems, database, proxy, hardware, client/server apps, DNS, Active Directory, PowerShell.

Considerable experience managing multiple IT efforts and ability to adapt in a constantly changing environment.

Considerable knowledge of IT Help Desk queue management.

Considerable experience with IT Services provided in a complex, multi-vendor environment.

Considerable knowledge spearheading projects and architecting complex IT solutions.

Working knowledge interpretation and application of federal, state laws/regulations

Experience in meeting deadlines.

Experience with internal/external stakeholders.

Considerable IT infrastructure support services experience in a large, complex IT environment.
