Summary
The Data Analyst will be responsible for quantitative and strategic analyses in support of revenue generating departments of the Buffalo Sabres. The Data Analyst will provide data and analysis to inform decision-making on a variety of subjects including ticket pricing, revenue forecasting, surveying, profitability analyses, customer segmentation and sponsorship measurement and valuation. The role will be responsible for supporting Sabres management to address their respective business needs, leverage the CRM system and data warehouse for the Sabres and drive the adoption of data into all aspects of decision making. The role will interact regularly with the accounting and finance, business development, ticket sales & services, and marketing teams.

Duties & Responsibilities
Utilize data to develop predictive models to be used for ticket pricing and revenue forecastingDevelop ticket holder retention models to identify at-risk accountsDevelop lead scoring models to identify new business opportunitiesAssess the impact of ticketing efforts, summarizing key insights and communicating relevant learnings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organizationBuild and maintain Tableau reports and analyses using various data sources such as Ticketmaster Archtics, Eloqua, Parkhub, Yinzcam, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and moreAssist with marketing automation efforts for email and digital advertising campaignsWork with Content Marketing team to analyze and report on all digital marketing effortsWork with ticket sales teams to streamline and standardize CRM inputsDevelop standardized SQL queries to pull automated reports from data warehouseWork with third party software to develop partnership asset valuationsUtilize data to evaluate potential new partnership businessDevelop reports to evaluate partnership campaign efficacyMaintain upmost confidentialityPerform additional ad-hoc tasks as necessaryMinimum Qualifications for the Position:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or another quantitative fieldPrevious experience working with large data setsPrevious experience with coding languages (SQL preferred)Previous experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred)High proficiency with Microsoft ExcelPreferred Qualifications for the Position:
Strong knowledge of regression analysis and other statistical tools/techniques (R, Python, etc.)Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRMAbility to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends as neededCritical Competencies

The Annual Salary Range for this position is $65,000 - $68,000.
