Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Savannah, Georgia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Position Description: 7am – 7pm 7pm – 7am Rotating every 4 weeks day shift to night shift or night shift to day shift. Unit Profile Hospital: Children’s Hospital of Savannah Location: Savannah, GA Address: 4700 Waters Ave. Unit : PICU Building: Children’s Hospital building General Information Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 14 Patient Ratios : 1:2 or 1:1 depending on the patient Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability ) : The unit has a CNC, clinical nurse coordinator (charge nurse) each shift, and has PCP’s working. Type of equipment : Alaris pumps, Vents , kangaroo pumps, Documentation system : Epic Scheduling requirements: Floating policy: float within the Children’s hospital Patient Experience requirements: Hospital Specifics- Certifications: PALs, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC H iring profile Requested Skill Set: Management of vents, bolts, EVDs, CVLs, neuro post ops, TBIs, chest tubes, art lines, CVP lines , management of post op patients, knowledge of ortho management Must have : PICU/NICU experience, knowledge of vents, central lines, chest tubes, knowledge of neuro patients, knowledge of sedation drips ( ie : Fentanyl, Versed), vasopressors ( ie : Epi, Norepi , dopamine, vasopressin); experience w/ transportation internally Advanced skills needed: Ventilator management, sedation management, vasopressor management, management of level 1 trauma patients, management of ICP monitors Procedures performed on unit : ICP monitor placement, CVL, ART line, & chest tube placement, LPs, intubation, moderate sedation, traction Certifications Required: PALs, ACLS Dress Code : (Required uniform) Pediatric friendly scrub top with either royal blue, black or white scrub pants.
