Job Summary:Works effectively and efficiently in a warehouse environment to receive and schedule shipping and freight operations, including developing a working knowledge of warehouse organization and creating proper and detailed shipping documentation. Works with shipping and warehouse team to ensure customer satisfaction.Qualifications
Warehouse experience; picking/packing experienceKnowledge of basic math; accuracy in countsStrong track record of safety performanceAbility to take initiative and organize their own work independentlyForklift/Power Jack experienceScanner experienceMust be responsible, reliable and take ownership of assigned dutiesResponsibilities:
Packs and unpacks orders while maintaining department scheduleEffectively uses organization systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stockCreates shipping labels and handles shipping informationCommunicates with other shipping personnel about organization practicesMaintains good customer relationshipsKeeps organized shipping records, including statements of origin, shipping costs, products shipped, and receipt datesWorks well with the shipping and sales teams to complete orders on timeResponsible for ensuring that received good are placed in their proper locationReceive shipments and sign paperwork upon receiptLoad/Unload packages from incoming trucksInspect contents to ensure they are undamagedVerify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, shipping method etc.)Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacementsLabel deliveries and allocate them to their designated placeEnsure invoices are signed for satisfactory deliveriesPerform other duties throughout manufacturing as requiredPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or its equivalent.Previous experience with safe operation of forkliftPrevious experience with building freight shipments and multiple skid ordersMust be able interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manualsAbility to calculate mathematical valuesKnowledgeable in warehousing proceduresAttention to detail is a mustADDITIONAL:We are a dynamic organization in a rapidly changing industry.
